Meet Mariah Salcedo, a Graduate Research Associate, in the Department of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology at the University of Georgia. She's a computational biologist who uses computers and coding to treat medical diseases. Find out about what it's like to be a young woman in the field of Computer Science and Biology.

"My work focuses on the use of machine learning to make a personalized medicine approach for Parkinson's disease," she says, and "I would love to chat more about ... the biology side of my work... the computational side...and about my experience of being a young woman of color in this field!" \
