Join us for this 2-hour hands-on workshop, attendees will learn a few basics for how to repair garments using hand and sewing machine techniques. This session is great for first-timers and experienced menders who need help with a tricky mend.

This workshop will include: General materials and stitch techniques; How to reattach buttons (hand); Adjust Hemlines (hand & machine); Replace Zippers (machine); Stabilize Tears (hand and machine); Lots of time to ask questions and get 1-on-1 help.

Attendees should bring an item to work on in the workshop — almost anything that needs a repair can be considered. (We suggest saving your knit fabric mends for our darning workshop.) Feel free to bring extra buttons, thread/yarn, fabric scraps to use or share.
