More on The Arab Americans:
For almost two hundred years now, Arab Americans, like other immigrants, have served and embraced their new-found home with dedication and vigor as significant contributors to American society in medicine, politics, civil service, entertainment, military service, business, education and more.
This is a dynamic, extraordinary, uniquely American story previously untold.....until now. This film, 6-years in the making, will provide viewers with:
- Argubly the first-ever full-length documentary of Arab Americans, told through the eyes of famous and everyday people.
- Documentation of achievements and contributions made by Arab Americans.
- A view of Arab Americans rarely portrayed in popular media and dispelling myths.
A Thousand and One Journeys: The Arab-Americans chronicles an important piece of American history that largely goes untold: the story of 200 years of Arab-American experience. Since the 19th century, Arab-Americans have made significant contributions in politics, science, arts, business, entertainment and the social fabric of America. We explore the history of Arab-American immigration and their contributions to America, while also examining the current Arab-American experience for prominent Arab-Americans such as Senator George Mitchell, Jamie Farr, Ralph Nader, Anthony Shadid, General John Abizaid, Maysoon Zayid and more.
