On Saturday, June 1st, Summer Reading 2019 launches with “A Universe of Stories” with fun space-themed programs and activities for all ages from 10 am - 4 pm.

All day, you can sign up for Summer Reading and get your summer reading list with challenges for all ages.

10 - 10:30 a.m.     Space-themed storytime for babies and kids!

10:30 - 4 p.m.     Visit the Cortelyou Library Friends table for raffles and baked goods. Children are invited to participate in crarts and other activities!

11 - 12 p.m.          Experience a scale model of the universe with our Jumping to Jupiter Library Lab outside the library. Participants can see how many jumps it takes to get to the inner planets and Jupiter!

2 - 3 p.m.             Enjoy the music of Rolie Polie Guacamole, a smart, parent-friendly band that dresses up original tunes and classic covers in their latest album Chips and Salsa.

3- 4 p.m.              Explore folklore of Cuba, Puerto Rico and the Dominican Republican during a musical ensemble performance featuring Jose Obando.
