Join us for Summer Launch 2019 at the Walt Whitman branch from 10:00 am to 5:00 pm. Activities are for all ages all day long!

All day – Summer Reading Sign-up & Scavenger Hunt

Pick up your Summer Reading Challenge booklet and a scavenger hunt sheet. Complete the scavenger hunt to receive a special Summer Launch sticker and start on the Summer Reading challenges!

10:30 am – Storytime

Listen to fantastic stories read aloud (and earn a sticker for completing one of your Summer Reading challenges!)

11:00 am – The Secrets of Wacky Balloon Artistry

Kick off Summer Reading by learning the magic behind balloon artistry! Amore will teach you how to create amazing balloon animals with special twists and knots. 

2:00 pm – Face Painting & Temporary Tattoos

Celebrate Summer Launch with body art that is out of this world.

2:00 pm – Straw Rockets

Decorate and construct a straw rocket to take home. See how far you can make it blast off!
