Studio Art Program - Autumn Semester
adult learning
arts and crafts
In person program.
This 8-WEEK PROGRAM will study the work of impressionist painter Claude Monet. We will examine some of Monet’s paintings from his garden in Giverny, France and then we will paint our own version of Monet’s most famous painting “Water Lilies” using the same techniques mastered by Monet and other impressionist painters. Next, we will continue our study of landscapes and will create our own landscape portrait using a felt tip pen. The class will learn rendering techniques such as line weight, cross hatch, stipple, and more.
All levels welcome! ** Registration not necessary, but we encourage students to attend all eight consecutive weeks, since the projects are on-going and continue weekly.
