Stop the Bleed is a program which empowers everyday citizens by teaching them how to use life-saving measures when first responders may be delayed. This Stop the Bleed workshop is offered by the staff of the Pediatric Emergency Department at NewYork-Presbyterian Brooklyn Methodist Hospital. The medical team will provide an interactive training session on how to identify life-threatening bleeding. The one-hour session also includes a hands-on demonstration on how to use tourniquets and apply sterile gauze for the most severe cases. The goal is to provide attendees with potentially life-saving information. Included in the training will be hands-on demonstrations on how to provide Hands-Only CPR.
