Irene Koloseus is a dancer, musician, choreographer, educator, and teaching artist. She founded the Feraba-African Rhythm Tap Company in 1996, an award-winning Brooklyn-based touring company that blends tap dance with West African music and dance. She's also a co-founder of Sound Bridges and Percussive Dance, a world music group that includes percussive dance.
Griot Abou Sylla, a renowned West African balafon musician from Guinea, West Africa, settled in the USA in 1995 after global tours with Les Ballets Africains and Les Merveilles. His innovative style, featured on albums like "Just in Time" and "Give Thanks," earned him accolades, including the NYFA fellowship in music composition. He taught at the University of Florida, composing the eight-part musical “Agbedidi."
