This workshop with audio engineer Joe Totino will explore the art of creating unique sounds for visual media such as film, TV, and games. Topics include: a breakdown of the various roles within a sound department; tools of the trade; and a demonstration on sound creation. 

This presentation will take place online via Zoom. Please RSVP at least an hour in advance to receive the Zoom link prior to the event. 

Joe Totino is an audio engineer, sound designer, and composer from Queens, New York. He holds a B.A. in Music and Sound Recording from the University of New Haven, and an M.A. in Sound Design/Scoring for Visual Media program from the Academy of Art University. Joe is an audio instructor at SAE Institute, and a freelance sound designer and composer for multiple music publishing companies focused on sync licensing for TV, film, and advertising. Joe has worked with artists such as: 50 Cent, Snarky Puppy, The Roots, Kronos Quartet, David Crosby, Andre 3000, and Jon Batiste.
