GRAB N GO KIT- BUILDING BATTERIES AND DESIGN

Pick up your Solar One STEM toolkit to participate in a hands-on activity that explores how important batteries are if we want to produce electricity using solar, wind and other renewable sources of energy. Students will learn about energy storage and will construct and test batteries using common household materials with the goal of powering a small motor or light. Participants must bring their own table salt, a cup of water and a spoon.

Grab N Go Kits will be available 1 week before workshop at libary.

These 60 minute workshops aim to increase interest in STEM, increase self-efficacy in regards to STEM skills, and increase knowledge about electricity generation, energy efficiency, and renewable energy.

This is the first of a four part program for children ages 7-14. This is a virtual event and registration is required to receive the Zoom link.

This series is made possible through the generous support of Con Edison.
