Solar One - Climate Action Careers and Youth Leadership
Join Greenpoint Library and Solar One for a spotlight on CLEAN ENERGY CAREERS IN SOLAR.
NYC has major plans to install solar on all eligible city-owned buildings including schools, hospitals, police stations and libraries! Participants explore how this solar boom will lead to many different careers in the solar industry including solar project manager and solar installer, which is one of the fastest growing careers in the country. Participants will conduct a remote solar site assessment to determine which buildings in their community would be good candidates for solar and how they can help to advocate for solar projects in their community.
This is the first of a three part program for ages 14-22. This is a virtual event and registration is required to receive the Zoom link.
