Adult Librarian Donald Peebles (Saratoga/Jamaica Bay) will facilitate a community conversation on Zoom with Kathy Iandoli, hip-hop journalist and author of Baby Girl: Better Known As Aaliyah. Baby Girl is the first definitive biography on the life, cultural impact, and death of the late R&B singer, artist, model, and actress Aaliyah Dana Haughton (1979-2001).

Kathy Iandoli is a critically acclaimed hip-hop journalist and author of God Save the Queens: The Essential History of Women in Hip-Hop. She's written for numerous publications, including Vibe, The Source, XXL, the Village Voice, Rolling Stone, Billboard Magazine, Pitchfork, Playboy, Cosmopolitan, Maxim, the Guardian, Vice Magazine, and many other publications. She has held editorial positions at top hip-hop/urban websites, including AllHipHop.com, HipHopDX.com, and BET.com. She routinely serves as a TV and radio panelist for discussions on hip-hop and gender as an alumna-in-residence of Music Business at New York University. She lives in Northern New Jersey.
