BPL Presents Til Victory Is Won


Pulitzer Prize winning poet Tyehimba Jess reading poems based on the narrative of Henry Box Brown who escaped from slavery enclosed in a box. Jess and Dr. Brenda Greene, Executive Director of the Center for Black Literature, will continue with a discussion and readings from excerpts of historical and contemporary poems and novels that represent the legacy of enslaved peoples in the United States.
