skillshare
In this 2-hour hands-on workshop, we’ll cover the anatomy of lamps, how they work, and key tools and skills for fixing them. By the end of this workshop, you’ll know why your lamp won’t turn on, what to do about it, and how to spiff up a broken lamp from a thrift shop. You’ll practice key repair skills on real lamps.
Space is limited to 12 participants, allowing for close instruction and feedback. All materials will be provided.
For this reason, please only register if you plan to attend! We've worked hard to prepare a great workshop for you, and are arranging materials based on the number of registered attendees. If your plans change and you can’t make it, please email athompson@bklynlibrary.org at least 48 hours before the event so we can add someone off the waitlist.
The Repair Hub is a program of BKLYN Incubator Round 8. It is co-led by the Greenpoint Library and Environmental Education Center and Repair Shop, a Brooklyn-based duo developing learning experiences and research around maintenance, craft, and design.
Mask wearing is highly encouraged at Greenpoint Library. Registration is required.
BKLYN Incubator is supported by generous funding provided by the Charles H. Revson Foundation.
