AAHC health and wellness yoga and meditation

Trying to take care of yourself through this pandemic? Join us for a restorative session where you’ll learn mindfulness techniques you can practice on your own, throughout and beyond 2021.

About our instructor. Briana Martin is a New York Native who is passionate about connecting folks to opportunities that support our holistic development and wellness. With a BA and Masters in Social Work, a Masters in Higher Education, and various training in healing modalities that include Hatha yoga, trauma-conscious yoga, reiki, and energy medicine, Briana is excited to facilitate a mindfulness practice to support stress relief and relaxation.

Our virtual meditation will take place via Zoom. You’ll need either a computer with audio or a telephone to participate. A link/number to access the meeting will be sent to registrants one hour before the meeting, so keep an eye out for the email (check your spam folder if you don't see it!).

This program is offered through the African American Heritage Center (AAHC), housed at the Macon Library. AAHC programs are open to anyone, and everyone, interested in celebrating, exploring, and discussing the African Diaspora. If you have questions or ideas email Sheena at s5miller@bklynlibrary.org.
