A contemporary of Tito Puente, Machito, Tito Rodriguez, and other mambo-era icons, Orlando Marin, The Last Mambo King, is the only orchestra leader from New York’s golden era of mambo who still performs regularly. Get ready to mambo!
Dance lessons are at 6:30 pm, band starts at 7 pm.
In case of rain on Thursday, July 26, the event will be moved across the street to the Union Temple of Brooklyn's 3rd floor Ballroom located at 17 Eastern Parkway.
The Plaza Swing Series is made possible with public funds from the New York State Council on the Arts with the support of Governor Andrew Cuomo and the New York State Legislature.
