Parkinson's Voices - Brooklyn Parkinson's Writing Circle
In partnership with the Brooklyn Parkinson's Writing Circle and the Library for Arts & Culture come join us at this event to help gain a greater understanding of what is Parkinson's Disease (PD).
Did you know that more and more people of all ages get diagnosed with PD, but how is it to really to live with this disease?
This is a chance to listen & share as the members of this group read their own stories about the impact of Parkinson’s on their lives.
Six members will read their individual writings followed by a discussion and Q & A session at the conclusion of the event.
The Brooklyn Parkinson’s Writing Circle was founded in July of 2024 as an offshoot of the Brooklyn Parkinson’s Group, which is centered at the Mark Morris Dance Center in Brooklyn, New York.
They aim to communicate the many different realities of living with PD and discover what they have in common and to be true and realistic in their writing.
The goal of the Writing Circle is to publish the collective narratives of the personal experiences of each of the members.
