Join us for a training on how to participate in peaceful, thoughtful, and safe protesting from experienced climate activist and author Eileen Flanagan.
Trained peacekeepers play a key role in keeping events safe, effective, and welcoming to all. This experiential training will strengthen people’s skills and confidence, while building community for these challenging times.

Eileen Flanagan has over thirty years of experience leading workshops and trainings. She has confronted corporate CEOs, prayed in their lobbies, and been arrested alongside Indigenous water protectors, Black preachers, and fellow Quakers. The former trainings coordinator for Choose Democracy, she is nationally known for helping people to make their activism more effective and spiritually-grounded.
Eileen recently worked with Daniel Hunter to co-author Streetwise & Steady: A Workbook for Action Peacekeepers and Event Marshals. Eileen is also the author of Common Ground: How the Crisis of the Earth is Saving Us from Our Illusion of Separation, which includes change-making lessons from the climate movement.
