Haiti Cultural Exchange:
Haiti Cultural Exchange (HCX) is celebrating 15 years as a nonprofit organization established in
2009 to develop, present, and promote the cultural expressions of the Haitian people. The
theme of HCX’s 15-year anniversary is ‘Memwa/Evolisyon’ (Remembrance/Evolution).
Remembering the past, and looking forward to the future evolution of community
programming, rooted in the arts & culture of Haiti and its Diaspora.
To commemorate this milestone, Haiti Cultural Exchange will host a series of programs
throughout the month of June as an homage to the community and the longtime artists that
have helped to ground the organization, in addition to engaging new artists and communities
around New York City.
