Memories of Home -Asian Brush Painting 故乡印象 -水墨画教学

      都市美在繁华, Prosperity beautifies a city,
      乡野媚在天然. Nature makes the countryside attractive.
      越过千山万水, Crossing tens of thousands of mountains and water,
      筑起新的家园. Building a new home.
      往昔历历在目, Vivid was our past,

      提笔作画圆梦. I paint Memories of Home.

This is the second segment of the Drawing and Painting Memories of Home Incubator project.  Led by a well-followed teaching artist Henry Li on the Internet, this class series will explore traditional Chinese brush painting topics (landscape, floral and birds, nature, animals, and seascape) using ink and watercolor on rice paper.  Our subjects will take you on nostalgic trips down memory lane.  All sessions are designed for beginning and intermediate painters, drawing from childhood memories anywhere in the world.  Class will meet via Zoom on 8 consecutive Wednesdays 1pm-3pm (Eastern Time, U.S. and Canada) on March 10th, 17th, 24th, 31st, April 7th, 14th, 21st, and 28th, 2021.  

This series of class will be offered via Zoom as well as live-streaming on YouTube.   All registrants will receive the Zoom Meeting Invite and the YouTube link via email a few hours before the event.  The Zoom online meeting room will open to admit registered participants at 12:45pm (ET).  Teaching starts at 1pm.

Art supplies are available for members of participating senior centers; limited supplies, when available, will be given to local participants on first-come-first-served basis.  Email yyau@bklynlibrary.org if you have questions.

      古今无不同。It is not that different between today and the ancient times.
