The Melting Pot: Hearth Cooking at Historic Richmond Town
In this program, learn about the tools and implements used to cook and bake over an open hearth. Hosted live from the Guyon-Lake-Tysen House, costumed interpreters will make gumbo and strawberry pie, which are both commonly associated with celebrations of Juneteenth, the commemoration of the end of slavery in the United States.
