Meditation for Creative Expression
Please note: The room will open at 1:45pm. Please arrive early to get settled for the workshop which will start promptly at 2. No one will be admitted into the session after 2:10pm.
Sound healing practitioner, Lavender Suarez, will guide participants through gentle breathing, movement and expressive drawing prompt exercises to assist in facilitating the relaxation process. Lavender will lead a sound bath (a meditative concert with live gong & singing bowl playing) to further assist participants in feeling relaxed and uplifted. At the conclusion of the workshop participants will be able to compare their experience before and after the workshop based upon how their drawing styles may have changed throughout the prompts.
We recommend participants bring a yoga mat to lie down on during the sound bath portion of the workshop for additional comfort. However, we will provide a few for those who do not have them. We will provide paper and pens/pencils, but participants may feel free to bring their own.
This workshop will run every Sunday in January 2020, with an additional sessions on 1/5, 1/12, 1/19, and 1/26. The series is structured so that participants may attend all, some, or one of the workshops. Space is extremely limited.
