How and why do communities change over time? Find out by joining the Museum at Eldridge Street for a reading of Virginia Lee Burton's timeless and award winning book, The Little House. This beautifully illustrated book shows how changes come and go but some things remain. Afterwards we will create our own community of little houses (or apartment buildings).

This program is intended for children aged 4-8 and their caregivers.

Materials needed:

1) Brown paper lunch bag, but other paper bags can work as well
2) Construction Paper
3) Markers or Crayons
4) Glue or Paste
5) Some old newspaper, or tissue paper
6) Stapler
