Let's Talk About It: Romance Scams
Join us for an interactive overview on how scammers take advantage of older adults who are looking for companions and romantic partners, how to recognize it, how to prevent it from happening, and what to do if you've fallen victim. Our facilitator will be Melissa Kinney, CNY Community Organizer of New York StateWide Senior Action Council.
Melissa Kinney comes to NY Statewide Senior Action Council with over a decade’s experience working with seniors and community members with disabilities while working for the Department of Social Services. Most recently she worked with children with special needs. She graduated from SUNY Poly and Mohawk Valley Community College, in Utica, NY, with degrees in Humanities and Social Sciences.
