Juneteenth
yoga and meditation
Ready to experience yoga in a way that you may have never experienced yoga before? Join Bweela Steptoe as she teaches and explores Kundalini Yoga with our Macon Library community. No prior experience is required and all are welcomed to join this special outdoor Juneteenth session that will emphasize liberation and community.
In Kundalini Yoga we use and open up our mind and nervous system to heal ourselves. By practicing Kundalini Yoga we activate the third eye and focus on the nervous system, reprogramming the addictive patterns in the brain, aligning the chakras, activating the pineal gland, building the Aura, building/creating self-love and breathing techniques to detox poisons from the system. Thus creating the “True You” connecting to the divine.
Recommendations:
- Wear white or light colors
- Don't wear socks (or be ready to remove them)
- Wear a head covering
- Bring: water, a yoga mat, and any blankets or cushions that will help you to be comfortable. We'll have chairs available for participants who would prefer to practice while seated and Bweela will suggest accommodations as necessary.
This will take place beside the library on Macon Street.
361 Lewis Ave. at Macon St.
