Join Kings Bay Library on Tuesday May 16 from 2 to 3 PM for an adult book discussion on Kristin Harmel's "The Book of Lost Names".

Inspired by a true story, a woman helps hundreds of Jewish children flee the Nazis and compiles a notebook containing the original names of the children and their assumed names in hiding. Eva Traube, a semi-retired librarian, see a picture in a magazine article and recognizes the book in the pictures as being the Book of Lost Names. The book sits in Berlin’s Zentral- und Landesbibliothek library. The contents of the book and the code needed to decipher them are not known to researchers. But Eva must be willing to revisit difficult wartime memories if she is to decipher the code and help children reunite with their families.
