Kindness in Action: Rescuing and Protecting Our Animal Friends
Families will have the chance to meet Yevgeniya Gorshkova from Strays of Brooklyn, a real animal rescuer.
Hear the amazing story of how she rescued a mama cat and her three kittens—
all found living in the ceiling of the Sheepshead Bay Library!
- Help us name the mama cat and her kittens by entering a special Kittens Name Raffle.
- Participants will write a note explaining their name choices—celebrating kindness and creativity.
- Learn about humane trapping and TNR (Trap-Neuter-Return) programs, and how they help protect animals.
- Donations of canned food or supplies are welcome to support "Strays of Brooklyn"
