Kids Explore: Rainbows
Come join us at the Highlawn Library for a STEAM experiment as we create DIY rainbow lava lamps, have fun with scratch-off art, a spot the difference game, and rainbow books available for checkout!
Our DIY rainbow lava lamps will introduce children to the science of chemical reactions and liquid density (more specifically, how oil and water interact). To bring extra fun to the table, we will be adding food coloring to make our lava lamps have a rainbow effect!
Each child will receive a scratch-off art and spot the difference worksheet while supplies last. This STEAM program is recommended for ages 6 and up. This activity contains small parts.
