Kids Create: Wrapping, Winding, and Weaving
Join us Thursday, August 14 - 11:00am-1:00pm, for a special Kids Create drop-in program led by educators from the American Folk Art Museum.
Wrapping, Winding, and Weaving
Inspired by the Collection of the American Folk Art Museum; led by AFAM Educators
In the spirit of Brooklyn Public Library's summer theme, Color Your World, in this drop in program, participants will use colorful yarn, fabric, and thread to create their own sculptures inspired by the work of self-taught artist Judith Scott, who transformed ordinary materials into surprising anything-but-ordinary words of art.
Create, experiment and have fun! Kids Create is an arts and crafts program for school age children 5-12 years.
