Amate paintings are a form of Indigenous Mexican folk art consisting of brightly colored paintings outlined in black and painted on a soft paper produced from the fiber of fig tree bark.
Let's celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month (September 15-October 15, 2024) and make our own colorful amate paintings!
Kids Create is an arts and crafts for school age children 5-12 years.
Join us every Thursday afternoon at 4:00pm for a new arts and crafts project.
