Get crafty at the Rugby Library! We'll supply the materials, you bring the creativity & imagination!
Since World War I, poppies have been a symbol of remembrance for all those who have served our nation, the fallen and the veterans. The American Legion adopted the poppy as its official flower in 1920, and subsequently petitioned "Congress to designate the Friday before Memorial Day, as National Poppy Day." This is why we wear poppies around Memorial Day.
Kids Create is recommended for kids ages 6-12.
Small groups of 5 or more, camps, schools, and daycares must contact the library in advance. Regularly scheduled programming may not be able to accommodate unscheduled groups.
