Abolitionist organizer PL leads a practical workshop on how to support people who have been arrested and how to build community-based jail support networks.

Registration is encouraged, but not required.

PL is an educator, researcher, and community member. They have been organizing in New York around prison abolition, anti imperialist struggle, resource redistribution, queer liberation, and mutual aid for years. They are an abolitionist and spend a great deal of their time doing jail support and work at Release Aging People in Prison As a Development Organizer. Additionally they are a member of Resource Generation,  Al-Ahrar NY and WAWOG (amongst other projects). They are a founding member of the Yellow Jackets Collective  a queer intersectional and interdisciplinary collective of East Asians collaborating towards radical futures that centralize marginalized bodies. They spend a lot of time angry while crying.

Running from April 4 through June 28, 2026, The Warehouse is a collaboration between artist and writer Vic Liu, abolitionist organizer Mariame Kaba, and the Bedford branch of the Brooklyn Public Library. The project features more than two dozen new, full-scale paintings by Liu that cover the library's walls, transforming the public space into an immersive exploration of resistance, survival, and possibility.
