Interested into digging into your family's past? Ancestry.com Library Edition™ is now available for free access from your home computer or mobile device through Brooklyn Public Library, courtesy of ProQuest and its partner Ancestry.
This workshop will introduce participants to the basics of navigating Ancestry's vast collection of digital records, including census and military records, birth, marriage, death, and immigration records. Best practices for starting your family history research project will also be reviewed.
First-time genealogical researchers welcome! Although not required, participants are encouraged to come prepared with names of family members or historical persons that they would like the librarian to search for using Ancestry.
This workshop will take place online via Zoom and requires registration. Please register to receive the Zoom link prior to the event.
