Buying a home is a big decision. For many people, a home is the single biggest purchase they will make in their lifetime. Join the Business and Career Center and the FDIC to evaluate how much you can afford, consider one-off and on-going purchases that come with new homeownership, among other how-to's to make this big decision run a bit smoother.

About the Speaker:

Brittany Burroughs is a seasoned Community Affairs Specialist within the Consumer Education section at the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation (FDIC). She embarked on her professional journey with the FDIC as an intern in 2014 and transitioned to a full-time role in financial education with the Community Affairs section in 2018. In her current capacity, Ms. Burroughs serves as the Program Manager for the Money Smart for Young People Curriculum, where she is dedicated to enhancing youth financial literacy for students from PreK through 12th grade.
