Summer 2022: Sheepshead Bay is kicking off a series of daily chess tournaments! One of the world's most popular games!
We provide tables, chairs, chess board, and pieces. All you need to bring is your knowledge of the game and the spirit to win! Winners will receive prizes!
This program is for all ages and skill level: Beginner, Intermediate, Expert, and everywhere in between.
Even if you have never played chess but have the desire to learn hands-on, we'll have a tournament ready!
Events may be held indoors in the Sheepshead Bay meeting room during extreme heat or rain.
Chess pieces are available at the reference desk. No registration necessary. Join us!
