Join BPL Heritage ambassador 2023  Peruvian singer  composer, and interdisciplinary artist of Quechua roots Araceli POMA and her guests for a meet up introducing  RUNA SIMI —"the people's language" in Quechua—a project  representing Indigenous languages in the diaspora and their artistic voices .
Araceli Poma will lead the session introducing  her own Quechua roots, her artistic expression through live music and will introduce her special guests .
Maestro Félix Reyes, a Mixe author from Oaxaca —presenting Entre Siip Antuun y Chu Rasgado: Breve historia de las Bandas Filarmónicas Mixes ,a study, written from within the community itself, of how the Ayuuk language has been kept alive through the music of the Mixe philharmonic bands.
 
The author will be introduced by Marco Nieto with the particip[ation of Pat Boy, a Maya-language rapper from Quintana Roo who has devoted his work to strengthening and preserving the Maya language.

Three Indigenous languages in one room —Quechua, Ayuuk, and Maya— and one shared conversation about cultural resistance, about what travels with us when we migrate, and about the native languages that are still alive.
