Lunar New Year
This week's Grab & Go Kit is Lunar New Year themed. Celebrating that 2022 is Year of the Tiger, we have these adorable Tiger Bookmark Craft.
Instructions:
1. Fold your orange square paper in half diagonally across the center.
2. Take the right corner and fold it up to the top point of the triangle.
3. Take the left corner of the paper and like step 2, fold it up to the top point.
4. Unfold steps 2 and 3.
5. Take the front paper only of the center top point and fold it down so the sides align with the creases created in steps 2 & 3. unfold.
6. Refold steps 2 & 3.
7. Tuck in the extra pieces of the corners into the fold created in step 5. The pocket that was created goes onto the corner pages of the books you read.
8. Take the white paper to create decals on your tiger, including the inner ears, the eyes, the mouth and teeth! You may want to then color the mouth using a marker.
9. Take the rectangle of orange paper and cut larger semi circles to make the outer ears.
10. Use a black marker to draw in details like the eyes and some stripes.
11. Glue all your pieces together on the bookmark to assemble your tiger!
