March is Women History Month and Leonard Library is celebrating visionary architect and artist- ZAHA HADID. Undoubtedly one of the most successful female architects in history, Dame Zaha Hadid became the first woman to win the Pritzker Architecture Prize in 2004. British-Iraqi architect Zaha Hadid was known as “the Queen of the curve,” for creating futuristic, curvaceous buildings that reimagined what design could be. From the Guangzhou Opera House in China to the Heydar Aliyev Centre in Azerbaijan, Hadid envisioned bold, boundary-pushing designs. Zaha Hadid passed away unexpectedly in 2016, but her buildings remain a lasting testament to her vision and endless creativity.

Stop at Talea Williamsburg to get a Grab & GO Craft-STEAM kit filled with straws, Model Magic and fun elements to create your own modern structure. As always, you are welcome to add some unexpected materials to make your project more fun.
