Grab & Go Kit: Stained Glass Turtle Fan

This craft kit includes 2 paper plates. Keep 1 and put the other aside, we will be using this other plate later.

Flip the plate over, so the back of the plate is facing you. Using scissors, cut the plate, so there is enough room for the popsicle stick.

Using glue, decorate the back of the plate using the different tissue paper.

(Optional) Once the tissue paper is dry, you can draw lines using a black marker or cut out strips of black construction paper and gluing those down.

While that is drying, glue the top third (1/3) of the popsicle stick on the back of the plate that you put aside in Step 1. 

Fold the green construction paper in half and glue it together. Using the pencil, trace the shapes of the turtle’s head, tail, 2 front flippers, and 2 two back flippers onto the green construction paper. Using a pair of scissors, cut out these shapes.

Glue the shapes you cut out in Step 6 onto the plate with the popsicle stick.

Glue the decorated shell from Steps 3 & 4 onto the other plate, sandwiching the popsicle stick between the two plates.

Glue the Googly Eyes onto the turtle’s head.

 Once completely dried, you have made a lovely stained glass turtle fan!
