This weeks craft is: Paper Plate Hot Air Balloons!

- 1 rectangle cut from paper plate (for basket)
- 3 strips of paper plate (for basket weaving)
- 2 paper straws
- Extra supplies for decorating
You will also need:
Directions:
- Start by decorating! The paper plate is going to be the balloon, so paint it, color it, and use the cut-up paper and any other materials you have for decorating. Get creative! The other pieces of paper plate (the rectangle and strips of paper) are for your basket, so you can use the brown crayon to color it.
- Once you’re ready, you can start to weave the basket. Begin by cutting vertical lines down your basket, but don’t cut all the way down! Weave the strips of paper plate through your basket piece, under, over, under over (see picture). When it is weaved, secure with glue.
- Next, tape one side of the straws to back of the basket. Tape the other side to the back of the balloon and you’re done!
