teens teen time

What would make your commute better? Maybe more shade giving trees by your bus stop. Or one train that took you straight across Brooklyn. Or redesigned train cars that made space for bicycles that also automatically shut off other people's phone speakers.

Come show off your brilliant ideas at our the Future of Commuting Design Challenge with the Riders Alliance!

Teens will either work alone or in teams to discuss current commuting challenges and design solutions for the future of NYC transit.

Experts from Riders Alliance and Brooklyn Public Library will be on hand to answer questions and guide teens in their designs. At the end all entries will be reviewed and judged by our panel of experts. Winners will receive swag, a certificate, be featured on social media, and of course: bragging rights.

This challenge is for teens ages 13-19.

This program is presented in partnership with the Riders Alliance. Specific location at the Central Library TBD.
