Introduction to Personal Finance

Tuesdays, January 17, 24 and 31 from 6-7:30pm in the meeting room of the Windsor Terrace Library.

The Kensington Stewards will present a three part course on a variety of topics that we all face in modern day life that are often considered “personal” and “financial.” Topics may include: banking, various forms of indebtedness (e.g. credit cards, car loans, mortgages), investment (e.g. bonds, stocks, real estate) individual taxation, various forms of insurance, retirement planning and estate planning.

The class will be led by Pete Gomori who taught courses in Finance at St. Francis College for thirty-five years. Guest speakers may also be invited to speak on special topics. Questions from participants are encouraged.
