after school storytime

Come join our free children's story hour and activity group led by our local dietitian every Thursday at the Bushwick Public Library! We will be reading and discussing engaging children's books celebrating all things food. The group meets for one hour. We will read a book hand picked by a children's education expert, play an inventive game or do an art project centered around the story, and finish off with a tasty treat! Throughout this program we will learn about food and how it relates to community, the earth, our bodies, take a small dive into food systems, and get curious about the big wide world around us! The activities are targeted at children ages 5-11, but everyone is welcome! We look forward to learning and growing with you this summer!
