Flatbush Book Club: Empire of Wild

book discussion
Indigenous Peoples Day
Join Flatbush Library’s monthly book discussion group for a chance to meet your neighbors and read some great books. We read a variety of contemporary fiction and nonfiction.
For October, we’ll be reading Empire of Wild by Cherie Dimaline. Set in rural Ontario, Dimaline’s novel follow’s one woman’s search for her missing in her rural Métis community. Inspired by the traditional Canadian Métis legend of the Rogarou—a werewolf-like creature that haunts the roads and woods of Native people’s communities—Dimaline’s new novel is gripping, wondrous and deeply felt.
Register for updates and reminders about our book club!
Copies of the book are available to pick up at the library's front desk. All are welcome.
