creative writing writing workshop

Storytelling is one of the most powerful tools we have to understand ourselves and to communicate authentically with those around us. But first, we have to find not only our stories but the words to tell them. This three-hour workshop facilitated by Judith Hannan will use prompts and selected writings to help you reveal the stories you have to tell. Focusing on the writing process, rather than the final product, this workshop will use only positive feedback to keep you inspired and encouraged. You will also have the opportunity to share your writing with others because having your stories received by loving ears makes them complete.

This workshop is open to writers of all levels. Registration is required.

**If registration is closed and you would like to be placed on the wait list, please email s4jones@bklynlibrary.org**

Judith Hannan is the author of the memoir Motherhood Exaggerated (CavanKerry Press), as well as a guide for writing about illness. Through her teaching, she is an activist in children and family health, education, and welfare. Her writing has appeared in numerous publications such as Lilith Magazine, the Washington Post, and the Martha's Vineyard Times, for whom she pens a twice-monthly column.
