Emily Warren Roebling Speaker Series: Assemblymember Jo Anne Simon
Adams Street Library is pleased to present the Emily Warren Roebling Speaker Series, which will feature successful women in a variety of fields speaking on her path to success. This program series is inspired by the achievements of Emily Warren Roebling, an engineer who completed work on the Brooklyn Bridge in 1883.
People of all ages are welcome to attend, especially young folks in our local middle and high schools.
Join us for a conversation with Assemblymember Jo Anne Simon, moderated by teen librarian Sasha Jones. Jo Anne has represented Brooklyn’s 52nd District in the NY State Assembly since 2014. She has passed major legislation on campaign finance reform, gun violence prevention, gender equity, and education.
Light refreshments will be available. This program will be simultaneously presented live on Zoom and recorded. If you are unable to attend in person, please register online for the Zoom link and/or to get the recording.
