anti-racism CTLE early literacy educators

Join us for the Fifth Annual Early Childhood Symposium at Brooklyn Public Library. This year, we will explore Play, Equity, and Joy in Early Childhood Classrooms in a series of three workshops offering 1.5 free CTLE credits each to NYS-certified educators.

Join us for Play to Learn with Literacy Inc.

In this interactive workshop participants will increase their knowledge of play, play inequities, and ways to differentiate play opportunities for children. This workshop will cover the developmental stages of play, the "play gap", types of play, and ways to differentiate and incorporate play into your literacy centers. Participants will engage with the material directly and leave with resources to create play-rich environments in their classrooms.

Facilitated by Laura Walsh, LINC Chief Program Officer

Content Team Members: Kiara Santos, Jessica Rogel-Pohl, Carmen Correa, Evelyn Cabreja, Wilkarys Zaman, Allison Zambito.

All educators of young children are welcome and encouraged to attend, including caregivers, formal and informal childcare providers, paraprofessionals, teaching assistants, etc...

The 2023 Early Childhood Symposium is supported by the City's First Readers initiative of the NY City Council.
