Learning to draw means understanding three things, composition, perspective, and proportion. Registration required for "Drawing of the Mind: virtual art class"  from October 5 - November 16. 

Topics include:

  • Introduction, examples, discussion of the materials list. Assessment drawing. 
  • Contour line, still life with bottles (pencil,eraser) - Focus on composition and proportion. 
  • Contour line, still life with three complex objects. Perspective (pencil, eraser) 
  • Still life objects and introduction to two point perspective (pencil,eraser) 
  • Still life with various objects using perspective with introduction to value and shading (Pencil, eraser)
  • Still life using charcoal full value with directed light

Final week will be a celebratory exhibition in the Virtual Art Studio of Sheepshead Bay Library.
