Drag Story Hour
Drag Story Hour
storytime
Drag Story Hour is just what it sounds like: storytellers using the art of drag to read books to kids in libraries, schools, and bookstores. DSH captures the imagination and play of the gender fluidity of childhood and gives kids glamorous, positive, and unabashedly queer role models. In spaces like this, kids are able to see people who defy rigid gender restrictions and imagine a world where everyone can be their authentic selves!
Recommended for ages 3 and up. Masks are encouraged for all patrons over 2.
This is a free but ticketed event: please pick up a ticket at the Youth Wing reference desk the afternoon of the program. Tickets will only be given to adults accompanied by children. Please use the Eastern Parkway entrance for easiest access.
