DIY: for Teens - Zines
Join us for a special virtual session of DIY for Teens on the Brooklyn Public Library Family Facebook page at 4:30 PM. In this series (Thursdays at 4:30pm) we’ll be making art together at home with materials you can find at hand, no special supplies needed. Learn about artists, techniques for making at home, and take some time to create something together each week.
This week we are making zines, and talking about some inspirations for making zines at home.
Suggested Materials are below, but feel free to use whatever is available at home.
Recommended:
- 8.5 X 11 sheet of paper or any blank paper you have on hand. Rectangular is easiest to use.
- Something to write/draw with.
Optional:
- Pens
- Markers
- Scissors
- Collage Materials - magazines, photos, heavy paper, etc
- Journal or short writing you’d want to share
- Heavy duty thread and needle
- Stapler
